Fresno St played Boise St twice in 2 weeks, both times in Boise St. They played some of their best football down the stretch to get into a bowl game. The Sun Devils won just 5 PAC-12 conference games, but managed to be bowl eligible because only 4 of the 12 PAC 12 teams managed to win 6 conference games. The Bulldogs had one of the better defences in the nation, allowing just over 13 points a game. A bowl victory would complete what has thus far been a successful season for Fresno St. It’s hard to find motivation on the other side for Arizona St.

The Huskies saved their best game for last, coming back to against Buffalo in the Mid American conference championship. Marcus Childers threw for 4 touchdown passes in the game. This will be his second bowl game of his career, he started last year in the Quick Lane Bowl vs Duke where he was 15-26/234/1/0. The Huskies lost 36-14. I look for the Sophomore to build on this experience and help guide the Huskies to not only cover but win. UAB has really grown their program from the bottom up the last few years, from 1 scholarship player in 2015, to almost 80 scholarship offers in 2018. They are progressing nicely, but being here is even a surprised to them. They beat Middle Tenn as an underdog in the Conference USA championship. 10 wins is a successful season but thats as most as they will get in 2018.

This is a major disappointment for Georgia being in this game. Without a doubt the best 2 loss team in the nation.
