Week 14
Went with the super chalky line-up this week. I played the Saints revenge angle vs the Bugs and went with Brees and Thomas. The Running backs are of the penny pinching value – back up variety in Wilson and Samuels, both replacing starters and should see 80% of the carries. Wilson was heavily involved in the passing game last week when Brieda was injured. Sanders is done for the year, therefore Sutton becomes the #1 option in Denver. I am still surprised at the value in Zay Jones.
Optimal Line Up
QB – Drew Brees, NO $6,600
RB – Jeff Wilson Jr, SF $3,800 & Jaylen Samuels, PIT $3,700
WR – Tyreek Hill, KC $8,000 & Michael Thomas, NO $8,600 & Zay Jones, BUF $4,200
TE – Zach Ertz, PHI $6,400
Flex – Courtland Sutton, DEN $4,500
DST – Buffalo Bills $3,200
Week 13
Optimal Line Up
QB – Patrick Mahomes, KC $7,600
RB – Aaron Jones, GB $6,700 & Philip Lindsay, DEN $5,400
WR – Julio Jones, ATL $7,700 & Josh Reynolds, LAR $4,900 & Taylor Gabriel CHI $4,200
TE – Travis Kelce, KC $7,000
FLEX – Zay Jones, BUF $3,600
DST – Kansas City Chiefs $2,500
Week 12
With 3 Thursday games for Thanksgiving, 6 teams are unavailable for this Sundays DFS. The Eagles defence has been exposed as of late, so I’m going with the Eli/OBJ combo. Mack still seems valuable at $5,500, the hope is he just falls in the end zone. I expect the Seahawks and Panthers game to be high scoring, Olsen $4,400 and Lockett $5,200 seemed to be easy choices.
QB – Eli Manning, NYG $5,700
RB – Marlon Mack, IND $5,500 & James White, NE $7,400
WR – Odell Beckham Jr, NYG $8,800 & Tyler Lockett, SEA $5,200 & Golden Tate, PHIL $4,200
TE – Greg Olsen, CAR $4,400
Flex – John Ross, CIN $4,100
DEF – New England Patriots $3,100
Week 11
Going with the unconventional route this week, The Arizona Cardinal QB/WR Combo – Rosen and Fitz. With those prices, I can load up on the more expensive running backs, Barkley and Kamara. There is so much potential value with Funchess and Cooper. Both wide receivers have been targeted the most on their teams the last 2 games. It’s hard not to take the touchdown machine at TE, Eric Ebron.
Optimal Line Up
QB – Josh Rosen ARI $4,800
RB – Saquon Barkley NYG $8,700, Alvin Kamara NO $8,200
WR – Larry Fitzgerald ARI $5,600, Devin Funchess CAR $5,100, Amari Cooper OAK $5,400
TE – Eric Ebron IND $4,300
Flex – Dion Lewis TEN $4,800
DST – Arizona Cardinals $3,100
Week 10
The Packers vs Dolphins just seems like a get right at home game for the Pack. I’m going to load up on Packers, expecting them to break out. Mike Davis is a great discount with Carson listed as questionable, i don’t expect Carson to play. James White has been Brady’s #1 target this year, this should continue.
Optimal Line Up
QB – Aaron Rodgers GB $6,400
RB – Mike Davis SEA $4,300, James White NE $7,300
WR – Marquez Valdes-Scantling GB $5,000, Larry Fitzgerald ARI $5,400, Tyreek Hill KC $7,300
TE – David Kjoku CLE $4,200
Flex – Keenan Allen LAC $7,100
DST – Los Angeles Rams $2,400
Week 9
Going big on running backs this week. Spending 25% of my budget on Connor, Miller and Hunt. I’ll be packaging Newton and Funchess against a Bucs offense who can’t stop anyone. I went Sanders and Golladay who find themselves the benefactors of trades on their team (Thomas and Tate traded away).
Optimal Line Up
QB – Cam Newton CAR $6,600
RB – James Connor PIT $7,200, Lamar Miller HOU $5,200
WR – Emmanuel Sanders DEN $6,400, Devin Funchess CAR $5,600, Kenny Golladay DET $5,500
TE – Hayden Hurst BAL $2,600
Flex – Kareem Hunt, RB KC $7,700
DST – Houston Texans $3,000
Week 8
I’m going back to the discount Running Back approach in week 8. Miller (Hou) and Lewis (NE) have great matchups but are unavailable for most of the big contests. I find Mack is still greatly undervalued at $5,400 and should receive a full work load much like last week. Tarik Hill is taking more and more carries from Howard, who already isn’t involved in the passing game. I went with Bengals package, Dalton $6,200 and Boyd $6,700. Teams have had great success in the air against Tampa Bay this season. The Bengals will also be looking to bounce back from the defeat to the Chiefs. Baldwin is getting healthier and healthier every week and still remains at a great $5,500. Landry $7,200 and Conner $7,500 are pure volume plays. Mayfield has very little healthy wide receivers and Conner is a 3 down back for the Steelers. As usual, I go super cheap at tight end with Chris Herndon $2,800. He had a season high 10 targets last week. The 49ers round out my team as you never what to expect from Arizona, even with a new offensive coordinator.
Optimal Line Up
QB – Andy Dalton CIN $6,200
RB – Marlon Mack IND $5,400, Tarik Cohen CHI $5,800
WR – Jarvis Landry $7,200, Tyler Boyd CIN $6,700, Doug Baldwin SEA $5,500
TE – Chris Herndon NYJ $2,800
FLEX – James Conner PIT $7,500
DST – San Francisco 49ers $2,500
Week 7
I’m basically going to pay for chalk and Gurley ($9800) this week. He’s not $10K this week, but continues to be worth every penny. I’m going with what I can call a discounted package in Winston ($6,300) and Godwin ($4,600). James showed last week he is back, almost 400 yards and 4 TDs. This week the Bucs get the Browns at home. Rivers last week threw a pair of TDs against these same Browns. James White ($6,900) is the most targeted Patriot and Jermaine Kearse ($4,100) is a pure volume play. Kenny Golladay ($6,000) was becoming Stafford’s favourite target before the bye. Nick O’Leary has been the best tight end on Miami and he is only ($2,600). The colts will not go away from Marlon Mack now that he is healthy, for ($4,400), he is flex gold if he can get in the end zone. The Colts are my DST as they play Derek Anderson and the Bills.
Optimal Line Up
QB – Jameis Winston TB $6,300
RB – Todd Gurley LAR $9,800, James White NE $6,900
WR – Kenny Golladay DET $6,000, Chris Godwin TB $4,400, Jermaine Kerse NYJ ($4,100)
TE – Nick O’Leary $2,600
FLEX – Marlon Mack IND $4,400
DST – Indianapolis Colts $3,300
Week 6
We have a $10,000 Player, Todd Gurley. I can’t remember the last time i say a player at this cost this early in the year. The tight end position is such a hot mess this season and believe it or not, Eric Ebron is the most expensive this week, no thank you. I’ll pass. I paid the chalk for Gordon, I expect him to have a big game on the ground in Cleveland. I went with the Steeler package of Big Ben and Juju. Last week, Dalton was able to air it out in the second half against the Dolphins. Murray should get his touches even if Cook comes back and I suspect Cooks touches to be few and far between as he has missed the last 2 weeks and I’m not sure how much they want to use him in the passing game.
Optimal Line Up
QB – Ben Roethlisberger PIT $6,500
RB – Melvin Gordon SD $8,200, Tarik Cohen CHI $4,600
WR – JuJu Smith-Schuster PIT $7,300, Corey Davis TEN $5,800, Chris Godwin TB $4,400

Week 5
It’s been a rough start to the season outside of a big week 2 win. But it’s back to the board this week. The Patriots and Colts play Thursday, so there’s 2 top 10 QBs and a #1 TE off the board all ready. The bears and buccaneers have the week 5 bye, that won’t eliminate a lot. I’m not sure anyone was waiting to get Winston in their line up and Howard’s value is drop plummeting.
Week 4
What appears to be a week behind, i don’t see it that way. Ryan and Ridley could team up again for a monster week against the Bengals. Ryan is moderalty priced at $6,100 which is nice. Went heavy with the other 2 wide receivers spots, OBJ and Allen. Carson is a value volume player at just $4,600. Sony Michel will see increased snaps now with Rex on IR. I went back to the well with Ebron, who is slowly turning into Luck’s favourite target.
Optimal Line Up
QB – Matt Ryan $6100
RB – Jordan Howard $6,800, Chris Carson $4,600
WR – OBJ $8,700, Keenan Allen $8,300, Calvin Ridley $4,900
TE – Eric Ebron ($3,600)
Flex – Sony Michel ($4,500)
DST – Oakland Raiders ($2,500)
Week 3
Coming off a nice return last week, I find myself with the same common denominator, the Saints. Only this time I’m playing against them. It’s rare that I will take a QB, WR and RB from one team but the price just makes sense. Ryan is in the bottom third when it comes to price tag, Julio is the lowest he’s been thus far and Coleman is pure volume. With Ajayi looking less and less likely to play, Clement is valued to be a steal this week as the featured back vs the colts. Had to Update with Cook’s injury – Insert Jordan Howard
Optimal Line Up
QB – Matt Ryan $5700
RB – Jordan Howard $6,500, Corey Clement $4,300
WR – Deandre Hopkins $8,300, Julio Jones $7,900, Cole Beasley $4,200
TE – Eric Ebron ($3,400)

Week 2
This week I’m going back with the Saints and the combination of Brees and Thomas. They combined managed for over 76 points. This week Brees is the most expensive quarterback and thats fine with me, you need a few chalk like players in order to win week to week. The running backs look like a pair that you are paying for last weeks performance, BUT then you have to remember their opponents this week. Who was the last RB the colts were able to contain? Connor is a 3 down and work horse like back, The prices are justified here. Kupp continues to be a red zone favourite of Goff’s, and Goodwin comes in at a low price / high reward after seeing last weeks possibility. Watching the Jets / Lions game on Monday night, why wouldn’t I use Kittle as my tight end and San Fran as my DST? Tevin Coleman comes in at a nice price as Freeman appears to be banged up and a strong possibility he does not play.
Optimal Line Up
QB – Drew Brees $7200
RB – James Connor ($6700), Adrian Peterson ($5,500)
WR – Michael Thomas ($8600), Cooper Kupp ($5,500), Chris Godwin ($4,600)

Week 1
Week 1’s focus is on the New Orleans Saints. I will be boxing them as much as I can. Tampa Bay is not the ‘trendy play-off’ pick it much looked like before training camp. Brees comes in at $6800 which isn’t incredible expensive (3rd most) for at home week 1 match up. Thomas gets to play against an average at best Buccaneers pass defence. My ‘value’ play is Jordan Wilkins ($3700), an injured Mack and suspended Michael should give Wilkins the starting job. Having running backs playing in the same game isn’t always an ideal play, but the thinking is volume vs volume in comparison to price.
Optimal Line Up
QB – Drew Brees $6800
RB – Christian McCaffrey ($6400), Joe Mixon ($6100)
WR – Michael Thomas ($7800), Chris Hogan ($6100), Jarvis Landry ($5500)
